The African Women & Children Empowerment Initiative (AWOCHI) is a non-political, non-religious, and charitable institution registered in the Republic of Liberia.
Founded on the principles of equity, dignity, and justice, AWOCHI is governed by a visionary Board of Directors and led by a passionate Executive Director, with a dedicated team of professionals and volunteers committed to lasting social change.

We champion a society where women and girls are equally represented, heard, and empowered at every level of leadership. Through training, advocacy, and mentorship, we cultivate confident female change-makers in homes, communities, and public offices.
Every child deserves a safe, nurturing environment. We work with communities and stakeholders to defend children’s rights, raise awareness on abuse, and promote policies that prioritize their protection and development.
We promote women-led farming initiatives to fight hunger, improve food security, and boost household incomes. Through modern techniques, seed support, and agribusiness training, we equip women to become producers, not just consumers.
We believe that financial freedom unlocks dignity and power. Our programs train women and youth in entrepreneurship, vocational skills, and financial literacy, enabling them to generate income and build sustainable livelihoods.

Mothers are the heartbeat of healthy families. We provide education, support, and access to essential maternal health services to reduce preventable deaths and improve well-being before, during, and after childbirth.
