The African Women & Children Empowerment Initiative (AWOCHI) is a Liberian-based, nonprofit, non-governmental organization dedicated to transforming lives, building resilient communities, and shaping a better future for generations to come. We work across Liberia to empower women, protect children, and promote sustainable development—one community, one program, one life at a time.
At AWOCHI, every seed we plant in the lives of women and girls grows into a story of hope, strength, and self-reliance. These testimonies reflect the heart of our mission — empowering communities through purpose-driven programs.
Before joining their agricultural training, I had no skills or confidence. Today, I run a small cassava farm and supply to local markets — all thanks to the mentorship and startup tools they provided.
